Please educate me: how can you tell that's a factory 42? (I'm sorry for the dumb question, I'm new to this :o)

You can see the "n.c."(North Carolina) at the bottom, on the back of the card which is where factory 42 was located.

Hi Chris,

Do you see the N.C. on the back bottom of the Wiltse Portrait? The only piedmont to come with the state designation N.C. was piedmont factory 42, so that is how we know this a factory 42.

that is one of the darkest 42s I have ever seen.I will post a scan of my 42 Wiltse later
