Early Wynn Wilson model A2980

I picked one of these up today and was woundering if any one could tell me when this particular model was made. Any thoughts?

According to the Vintage Baseball Glove Catalog Source book, this particular model with Wynn's endorsement only appears in the 1953 catalog.
