Was this a "Missing Red Ink" T206?
 

Hey Tim-
I did a quick search on Ebay,just put in T206 Beck,and looked at other examples.The others were a lot Brighter of a red,but I don't think the card in question is "missing" the red,just looks faded to me-IMO.
I am no expert,but in another thread TedZ explained to me the whole printing process of T206's-he could probably tell you for sure.

Not commenting on this specific auction, but from my experience red seems to to tend to fade more on old cards than other colors. I don't know why, that's just what I've noticed. And that's not to suggest it always fades, as red ink can remain bright and dark on old cards.

Even when the red ink is missing on some cards the B is still faintly visible as seen on the two examples below but not as pronounced to me as the one in the listing.

I don't profess to be an expert on these cards and would like the opinions of those more knowledgeable than me.
