The Roaches Have Outdone Themselves With This Lot
http://www.myccsa.com/Lot/201/titani...by-5-rare.aspx
I wonder which of the four alleged suppliers of Roaches Corner came up with this one. I can just picture crew members of the Titanic stopping to neatly sign this sheet. |
type in 3x5 in their search for the latest auction. They are beyond bad.

The best one is lot 531, a book signed by twenty-six members of the 1927 Yankees. It has Ruth, Gehrig, Lazzeri, Huggins, Shocker and a guy named Eddie Phillips. Phillips wasn't in baseball in 1927 and he did play briefly for the team in 1932. Shocker died in 1929.
DanC I was just informed that Phillips was in the Yankees spring training photo, but did not play for the Yanks in 1927. So it's got to be real. I'm sorry! Another J.W Booth? Nice! |
They are going for the rare signature of batboy Eddie Bennett whose autograph is worth a few thousand dollars.

But seriously... 5 is poor or better...obviously.
http://www.myccsa.com/Lot/201/1953-b...-graded-5.aspx Makes sense.. I have graded all of my cards 10 (Gem Mint or worse.) For the life of me I can't understand BCCG. I have many slabbed BVG cards and I take them seriously. Then I see this crap. What if Joe Orlando had a dumba** brother who slabbed one of my toe nail shavings as a PSSAA 7 52 Topps Mantle? |
