Questionable ebay auction

This was posted on another board.

I don't know if anyone has seen this eBay auction, but it looks really fishy:

The back of #53 Ruth definitely does not match the front. On the front of the card, all four corners have significant rounding, while the back of the card shows 4 fairly sharp corners. Ditto for the Gehrig.

Thanks Andrew,
Lets try this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...=STRK:MEWAX:IT
If that doesn't work, the item # is 170413174188

The Mantle Holder looks tampered with also IMO. Looks frosted in different spots.

I edited the "S" word for this post. He didn't post my question on the auction nor has he updated the pictures.

Smells funny to me..........

You are correct Frank, the backs are not of the same card.:mad:This guy updated his listing at the bottom, but the backs still don't match.I don't get why he just wouldn't show the true backs, seeing that we can see the grade already??He sounds like a 13 year old with his reply to you-I wouldn't bid on this guys cards period..............

I reported both his auctions for offering offline sale--That should get rid of them!

They are probably stolen scans.

Zero Feed Back as a seller and six Feed Back as a buyer. One FB from 2003 the other five are from the past month and are for new sports items priced under $5 dollars.

link worked that time and the auction was pulled. Who says Ebay doen't care( we all know they don't :D)

He's back - BUYER BEWARE

Yes, they removed the first auction, but he's back again. The seller did remove the picture of the back of the Gehrig without uploading "his other card". Since I didn't mention to him that the first Ruth doesn't match the back either, he left that picture up. So I'm not going to say anything to him about that one so that you all can enjoy.

Here is the new auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/2-1933-Goudey-Ba...item27ad89a767

or aution # 170415204199

I just noticed his feedback as a buyer....He's got to be legit with the high dollar cards he's selling, as he just purchased a 2009 Terrell Owens :D

Interesting that the cards have been his family "for years." According to vintagecardprices.com that Gehrig was sold by ebay seller dyb225 in September of 2008.

Go figure

cdizzal15 is no longer a registered user. Now he won't be able to purchase those Buffalo Bills cards on that account.
