Grading Question
1 Attachment(s)
I have a number of older cards that I have had for years and nothing grading. I was thinking of sending in the card below. First off, what do you think it would grade and secondly which grading service is recommended.
Thanks, Neil |
Nice card
I don't know if you are in the right section with this, but as far as grading goes,I prefer SGC.My guess is it would grade EX at least, but I am far from a pro. That is a great looking card,do you own any "pre-war" cards?Good luck-Regards,Clayton

Grade 5 and send to SGC. It will really POP out with the black border.

Thanks. Just noticed I posted to the wrong group... I have some T206's and a couple of Old Judge, no major stars a Tinker and some others.

If you are selling after grading!
If you are going to sell your cards after grading them, I would recommend having your cards graded with PSA - especially if they are postwar cards. They will bring you higher prices in PSA slabs.

But please keep in mind, that at the end of the day, resell value is all about catching a couple of "blue whales" in a feeding frenzy. They are a bit irregular at the moment....although, we have a few on this board. If you are lucky enough to hook two in one auction, then you better bring-out the wheel barrol. Lovely Day... |

Oh, and to answer your question.
Either SGC or PSA will probably grade it "EX" maybe "EX+". If it has any small hairline's or surface wear then "VG/EX". |
I do not want to sell them... I just wanted to send a couple in and see what they grade.... Thanks I think I will take a couple of baseball and football cards from the 50's and send them into SGC, I like the idea of the black border for contrast... Thanks again.
