Hey kid, you know if I wanted to I could get forty bucks for my signature at a card show. Consider yourself lucky!
Kid on left: "It's a fake. I know he pitches left-handed"
Babe Ruth "Hmm, these new ballpoint Bic pens sure are wonderful."
As the children all line up for their H1N1 flu shots, Babe is busily practicing by first injecting a baseball.
"Okay son, I'll be glad to sign a baseball for you. Just remember that when you want to sell it to talk to Coach's Corner first!"
Jantz |
kid: "Baaaabeeee Rutheeee..yah yah...that looks pretty crappy!"
kid: "one day, I am going to put this ball on a marketplace of a vast array of interconnected people. Interconnected, yet each in their own home. I am certain electricity will connect all people one day. And just like the bay area, where all of the merchants come in on their ships, I know people will use this electricity just as those ships use that water in the bay. This electricity connection will be like an 'eBay'. I think it could happen one day, and this ball will be there."

"As a lifelong Yankee fan, we take great pleasure in our latest victory."

Ok Babe...For the last time.... its B-A-B-E R-U-T-H
HEY...I thought you were a lefty?
Young Pete Sheehy looks on as the Babe shows him how to insert the straw into his special "bootleggers ball."
