Rough edges on 1952 Bowman
I've noticed that rough/fuzzy edges seem to be fairly common with this issue, and have always assumed it had something to do with Bowman's production method. Can anyone shed light on this phenomenon? Thanks.

1952 Bowmans
These cards were printed on 36-card sheets (9 across x 4 rows). The 8 cards on the ends of these sheets are sometimes
found with "rough" edges. This was caused by a first cut of the entire sheet, prior to the precise cutting of the individual cards. I've seen this with 1949-1953 Bowmans as well. TED Z |
Cool. Thanks for the info, Ted.
