"I come from a land down under" pics of vintage Australian baseball
I just picked up this 1938 baseball team photo from Australia. I have a few other items I'll post, but if others have items, I'd love to see them

Jon, only if that roo was wearing a glove!
nice shot...a fantastic place, isn't it?
I lived there for just under 2 years and I still at times wonder why I came back. Nice photos Max. I keep forgetting to scan the Bay for new Australian items, -all I have are a couple of cards, which can be seen on my website. From what I understand, one of them has a very scarce back, which is nice to have. Max, what other goodies have you got? You must have one of the largest aussie baseball collections around, I would imagine. Thanks for sharing |
Jason - it is a great place. I was just in Sydney, Cairns and Brisbane. My only complaint is that they need faster planes...23 hours is a little long!

This isn't mine, but is an incredible piece from the Spalding world tour of 1888. It's located in the Melbourne Cricket Ground cricket museum, which makes the Hall of Fame Cooperstown museum look almost drab in comparison
