Sports Antique of the Week Reinstated after Ten week Absence on SportsAntiques.com
SportsAntiques.com
After ten weeks absence I've reinstated Sports Antique of the Week on my site SportsAntiques.com, see link above. I'm restarting it with a blast...that is a very important 4 inch tall c1880 Vienna bronze baseball statue, with all I know about it. This statue is so fine the catchers maks actually comes off, and there's a Spalding label on the ring bat. Thanks -Carlton PS, now I'll be getting back back to the 09' National story |
Welcome back Carlton! That statue is simply stunning! There is no question it is worth every penny paid and then some. Thanks for showing us.

10 week suspension? Must have been quite a penalty. You only get 8 for spitting on the referree during the National Anthem.

Great stuff Carlton. Sorry to hear about the news of your father.
|
Carlton - the picture of the den... is that an S81 hanging on the left wall? (If so, that picture must be later than 1905)

Jon Canfield, I don't know cards, but is this an S81? It's silk, measure 7" x 9" and is c1912, issued by Helmar. |

Carlton - yup... S81. I just can't tell if one is in the picture. I thought you might be able to see?
