EBAY Pre-WWII (Pre-1942)

Didn’t WWII begin, at least for the US, when the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor on DECEMBER 7, 1941?
Maybe I’m splitting hairs but wouldn't Pre-WWII be before that date, not 1942?
Give them credit for trying but so much for their sense of history.
Maybe Ebay just rounded up :)

Pre-1942 encompasses all baseball cards sets up to 1941 Play Ball. A pre-1941 category would exclude the 1941 Play Ball set, wouldn't it?

I don't know if ebay can actually think that far, but it makes sense.

EBAY Pre-WWII (Pre-1942)

Pardon my nit-picking, but WWII actually started in Europe in Sept 1939.

The "Pre-1942" category is a valid one, as serious 1941 Play Ball set collectors
have realized that this set's 24-card Hi# series was issued in 1941 and in 1942.

Barry, 41 Playball makes sense.
Ted I think I referred to the United States entering the war, not the rest of the world.
On a light note, I went into a (now defunct) card shop a couple of years ago in a small town near where I live. It was right next to the 29 Palms Marine Base, and the propietor was clearly a retired Marine. I walked up to the counter and asked him "do you have any pre war cards?" I will never forget his reply. He looked at me and deadpanned "which war?"
