Is there a Chester Chadbourne T-206?
I was reading about the T212 Obaks in Lew's Encyclopedia of Baseball Cards Vol.3,,and it said that Chester Chadbourne appeared on a T-206 card while with Indianapolis in 1910.Is this true?I cannot find his name on the T-206 checklist, nor have I seen an image of this card.Does anyone know about this?

great observation.
just one of very few items that should appear in an errata section in Lew's incredibly monumental contribution to the field. his 3 volumes continue to be my all time favorite 'go to' books in the hobby. best, barry |
These guys are telling you correctly, Chadbourne is not a subject depicted in the white border tobacco cards, T206.
Mr. Lipset mistakenly attributed Chadbourne to the T206 set in the Obak description on page 79. In addition to what Mr. Lipset has, Chadbourne appeared in 33 games for the Boston Braves in 1918. He had 3216 hits in the minors, and 345 hits in the majors. Chadbourne is on Zee-Nut cards from several different years. |
Chadbourne is also in the T217 Mono set.

re:Joe -
We have him in the Obak sets (T206 and T4), the D310, Western Playground, and then every Zeenut from '11-'24. |
Unless Chadbourne was one of the cards in the T206 proof find years ago, Chester is not in the T206 set. I don't recall Chadbourne being one of the one of a kind rare proof cards purchased by Keith O. which he later wrote an article about in VCBC.
