o-t trivia 1000 hits for 2 teams
Following up on Johnny Damon and Rusty Staub from the other night, name players with 1000 or more hits for two different teams. So far I have found 3.
I guess Yaz and Ripken are out.

I think the other is Dave Winfield.

In addition to those named correctly above, players to collect 1,000 or more hits for two different teams during their careers are Jake Beckley (Pirates/Reds), Buddy Bell (Indians/Rangers), Eddie Collins (White Sox/A's), Fred Clarke (Louisville/Pirates), Joe Cronin (Senators/Red Sox), Carlton Fisk (Red Sox/White Sox). Jimmie Foxx (A's/Red Sox), Frankie Frisch (Giants/ Cardinals), Bid McPhee (Cincinnati of the American Association/Reds), Tris Speaker (Red Sox/Indians) and Dave Winfield (Padres/Yankees). Several players are/were very close, Andre Dawson, Ken Griffey Jr, Manny Ramirez, etc

one more
ah never mind good job but did you know all those off the top of your head? |
No way, I just started looking at players stats to come up with a few then did a search and found the rest. Good question though.
OK how about 5 pitchers with 120 plus wins for two different teams?
Alexander? Cy Young.
Nolan Ryan has to be one, then I would guess Clemens has to be another one. I can't think of anyone else except Alexander and Young already mentioned, maybe Catfish Hunter ?
The 1st guy that came to my mind is Lefty Grove
Greg Maddux with the Cubs ('86-'92 and '04-'06) and the Braves ('93-'03).
Cy Young with Cleveland and Boston Grover Alexander with the Phillies and Cubs John Clarkson with the Chicago White Stockings and the Boston Beaneaters Jim Galvin with the Buffalo Bisons and Pittsburgh Pirates |
Forget Grove, I just checked, 195 wins w/ Philly & 105 w/ Boston
I guess I got a D+ on that one.............

I have Manny with 1,086 hits as an Indian and 1,232 as a Red Sox |
Young Alexander Clarkson and Maddux are right. One more. Modern guy.

I think Mussina is correct and Johnson and Perry are wrong.
