Horizontal cards anyone?

As a neat collecting subset I have collected horizontal poses for a while...Here is my latest addition. Anyone else want to show any? The tobacco stain on the fellas leg is in quite the precarious place. He thought it was only flatulence....

My favorite horizontal pose:

Horizontal

This "A" has been swimming in my mediocre sea of beaters for a while. It has always been one of my favorites.
Edited to add: "Nice timing, Matt!"

T206 six......

American Lithographic produced the T206's in basic groups of SIX cards (and multiples thereof).

These 6 horizontal's were printed in the 1st Series and are proof of this theory. Throughout the
various series in the T206 set it is evident that 6 subjects were the common denominator in the
printing process.

Rob, I've looked at this card a bit and I'm starting to think that it might not actually be a horizontal pose, that he may have just been settling under the ball. What do you think?

tedzan 08-25-2009 08:33 AM

Jeff L......

Rob D thinks Dunn is a "horizontal"......and, I (and most T206 dudes) KNOW it isn't.

But, this is a game we play every time this subject arises.

So, let's let Rob have his fun.

P.S.....Thanks for posting your 53B Reese......I was going to post mine; however, it is not
graded and although it's as nice as yours, it would not get the "OOH's & AAH's" like yours
will.

Hmmm, you might have a point, Jeff. But next time could you work in some condescension to your post?

Jim R,

Gotta love that Pelty. One of my favorite cards of all time, just because it's so weird. Looks like he was having a Close Encounter and trying to explain our culture.

I'll leave it up to you folks. I have quite a few more horizontals, particularly from the E220 set. Let me know if you would like me to post the scans.

One of my favorite CJs

When I abandoned my pursuit of a CJ set last year and sold about 100 of them, I kept only a half dozen and this was the only common.

Leon you have good taste.
The George Wood "sliding" buchner is the only horizontal in the set.
And since the set doesn't have numbers and goes alphabetical, Wood's
sliding pose is the last card.
Here's another shot at one.

whenever I see that card I think of the old guy from the movie Poltergeist.
