E121 Series of 120 rarities/possibly non-existant
I am posting this one again because my original post on the old board seems to have gotten lost in the transfer. Since Bob Lemke mentioned on the thread on the E121 series of 80 that he would update the checklist on that set to indicate cards that have questions about their existence, thought this set deserved the same.
Here is another call out to collectors about the existence of the following E121 Series of 120 cards: Carlson Bigbee (spelled just like this) Corson L. Bigbee (spelled just like this) Charles Deal (dark uniform) Charles Deal (light uniform) Harry Heilman (w/bat-only one 'N') Walter Holke (throwing) "Hy" Myers (quotation marks on Hy) Chas. O'Leary Eppa Rixey Jr. (throwing) Babe Ruth (photo montage-no quotation marks on Babe) Babe Ruth (holding bird-no quotation marks on Babe) Ferd Schupp (spelled Ferd) George Sisler (throwing) Tris Speaker (batting-large projection) Milton Stock (not Milton J. Stock) George Whitted (Brooklyn) Any and all input greatly appreciated! Brian |
Here's a link to the lost thread:

I have moved over the old thread. Sorry about that! It must have slipped through the cracks somehow. Let me know if you see any others!

I have a Whitted Brooklyn. Sorry, no scanner, though.

Update
Thanks Bob on your input. It sounds like you have a tough one to come by, and it is a variation that is not in any of the other E121 associated sets (E121 80 Series, E122, W501 or W575-1)
I have updated the list below: Carlson Bigbee (spelled just like this) Corson L. Bigbee (spelled just like this) Charles Deal (dark uniform) Charles Deal (light uniform) Harry Heilman (w/bat-only one 'N') Walter Holke (throwing) "Hy" Myers (quotation marks on Hy) Chas. O'Leary Eppa Rixey Jr. (throwing) Babe Ruth (photo montage-no quotation marks on Babe) Babe Ruth (holding bird-no quotation marks on Babe) Ferd Schupp (spelled Ferd) George Sisler (throwing) Tris Speaker (batting-large projection) Milton Stock (not Milton J. Stock) Any more to knock off this list...? Brian |

Thanks to Bob P. I have scanned a photocopy of his example of the Whitted Brooklyn variation. I have provided a road-kill Pittsburgh variety (the common version) from my collection as a visual bonus. I think this conclusively eliminates it from the 'possibly does not exist' list. And I was informed that this is not for sale, trade, nor will it be a Christmas gift for anyone.

A side note
George "Possum" Whitted was traded by the Pirates to Brooklyn in the middle of March of 1922. He eventually got one at bat with the Dodgers in 1922, and that was the end of his career in the Majors. I wonder what this indicates about when the bulk of the E121 120 Series was printed...?
