I just had this model of old Yankee stadium built for me. it's 33x41" and has LED lights that look just like the real stadium lighting.
To save room, I had the model builder build it and put it into a table and make it a cofee table using very professional thick aquarium glass. The builder will build any existing or vintage baseball or football stadium and even make it into a table. If you are interested in getting one made, let me know and I will be happy to get you his contact information. Mike. info@sports-rings.com |
Wow!
Absolutely fantastic!

Wow! That is too cool for school. Who wouldn't love that for a coffee table? I think though I'd probably have to put fish in it to placate the wife. There was a model of Comiskey at the Chicago National that impressed me enough to snap a photo. Same guy?

yes, same guy. He did a great job, I'm happy to recomend him as he totally listened to my ideas such as putting a picture of me and my son on the scoreboard and putting the time and score of the last game played at the stadium.

Cool.
The owners of Nat Bailey stadium in Vancouver produced a small scale model of the stadium (6 inches or so). I have one at work, and I'll take a pic. And IIRC Mike, don't you have Bill Buckner's 1986 ring? He'll be a guest at Nat Bailey here tonight. |
This one we did ourselves, making hopefully good use of an old crib

My boys

I bought these two uniforms before my boys were born. They are now 9 and 6. Did these pics last fall. I purchased some of the items to put into their shadow boxes. The gloves were my dads from the 1950's, the shoes I picked up when I was a kid at a flea market and the pennants, tickets, hats, and programs were picked off of Ebay over the years. The bat is a 1940's Mel Ott store model bat. My boys were finally the correct size to fit the uniforms and the project is now complete. I plan to give each boy his shadow box when they are older. Eveyone that comes to my house is amazed at how good the pictures are.

Lots of neat stuff-- that Comiskey Park is especially cool. It really captures the look of that great old place.

Streetsideguy - those photos of your sons are great. Love the color.
My father-in law carved this guy for me. Its no one in particular, but I love the face. |
Mike, you are seriously demented -- and I love, just love, that Yankee Stadium table. Fantastic work.

why am I demented?
Here are two more custom items. I purchased two psa slabbed checks. Found two high quality color copies of paintings and had the checks framed with their psa labels showing. |
Those stadiums are stellar.
Ive got to get the Fenway 'under glass' model, then get a bunch of spray painted, multi-color roaches to occupy the stands! |
