Unfortunately, other then Matty, I have only a couple. I'll start it off with the cover shot for the 1996 Christies "Baseball Magazine" Lamdmark Auction... Vintage original TYPE I of Mr. Walter Johnson and the ultimate companion piece for this photo...the Catalog.

This is not quite deadball but it's one of my favorite collectibles. It shows old PCLer Prince Henry Oana bringing heat on a Japan tour in the '20's.

On Oct. 31, 1924 in Brea, California...
 

an oil town in north Orange County, Babe Ruth smacked two home runs against Walter Johnson in a Barnstorming game that was promoted by Babe's agent Christy Walsh.

Not only did the Bambino go yard TWICE against the Big Train, he pitched a complete game victory.

And it's not like Johnson had a down year as he had just pitched the Senators to the World Series title as well as nabbing the AL MVP.

Still, Johnson gave up eight runs in five innings and took the loss.

All four are Type 1 original photos. The Matty is a Conlon original (signed on reverse) and the Johnson is an original Van Oeyen....

That Matty is smokin'. As is the Grover. And Dazzy. And Big Train? All of them? Yes, I think so!!

And David, that Smokey Joe is wonderful. I love how baby-faced he was...

Great stuff. Nice Photos! Ryan, Sundevil, if my photographic memory serves me well, don't you have something from that particular game or the Walter Johnson-Brea, California connection?

The Cy Young photo was taken at Hilltop Park in Manhattan. Although long-gone (it's now the site of Columbia-Presbyterian Medical center) the apartment building in the background is still there:
