Help on Helmar Cigarettes Sign - 44" wide

43 1/2" wide x 14 3/4" tall
Can anyone tell me about Helmar Cigarettes? I got this sign today...needs some restoration...couldn't make up my mind but for a buck and a half I pulled the trigger. If I'm not mistaken there are Helmar cards? Could I get more info on the card side? It's interesting..above the illustration are instructions to sign makers on how to copy it...it's as if it was meant as a model/example for bill boards...I liked it because of that....plus it's good looking and it's my favorite format for art work...short and wide

Sweet pickup for a buck and a half.

Helmar's contribution to our hobby was a set of baseball stamps.

You should post this again on the card side Carlton. Nice pick up.

Carlton,

Nice piece. If you're looking for a restoration company, Oppenheimer's in Chicago is fantastic. Not cheap, but awesome work. I would imagine they could take all of that water staining completely out.
