The good ole days.
Before everyone arrives at The National in Cleveland, let's pause and remember the good ole days of baseball card shows. I found these images while digging through a recent photo archive I purchased. I love the image with the coffee mugs and cigarette buts, mixed in with stacks of 50's singles, with rubber bands holding the cards together!

Black and white photos . . ya gotta love it.
That kid in the last photo looks like one of our fellow Net54ers but I ain't saying who. |
Me
Although I wasn't going to shows at that age, that kid is almost a dead ringer of me at age 11.

Nice find. Seems like yesterday to me, especially the rubber bands keeping sets and groups together.

Ed Budnick
Great shot of hobby legend Ed Budnick and his daughter Doreen in picture #3. I believe it (and perhaps most of the others) are from one of the old Troy Hilton (Detroit area) shows in the late 1970's before they moved to the Plymouth Hilton (site of the 2nd National Convention). Those were the days.;)
