Most Affordable Joe Jackson Card?

I was just curious, what's the cheapest-to-buy original Joe Jackson card out there? Strictly pre-WWII, low grade.

Thanks!

If you are OK with a group shot, his T200 Cleveland card is one way to go. Otherwise, perhaps one of his game cards (National game, Polo Grounds, etc.) Each should be possible in lower grade for under $500.

You could probably get a low grade W514 for a few hundred dollars to

Un-settling

The cards mentioned in the previous posts are all the inexpensive cards of Joe Jackson that are out there. I settled on the Barker game card, which has the same photo as the National Game. It is a great photo batting pose--and is a heck of a lot more appealing than his E90-1, for example.

I agree the Tom Barker or National Game card of Joe Jax is the way to go. It's the most bang for your buck.

I agree with what has been said. The National Game is from his playing days, one of his cheapest period cards and is pretty nice looking. It's cheap but not cheap.

Along that lines, I pick the Senella as Ruth's best cheap pick. The card is dirt cheap for a Goudey-era Ruth, yet is a sharp looking in person, if paper stock.

Does it have to be from his playing days?

If not, a low-grade 1940 Play Ball will be a few hundred dollars.

I'm pretty sure Leon has a decent W514 for sell over at his site. A little less than $500 I think.

For whatever reason these cards just aren't offered cheap almost ever. I would agree that a G-VG game card can be had for 500-1000 when they come up for sale which isn't too often. The W514 will run more for decent looking example probably 2000-3000. after that you are in the 4-5K range.

just to be clear

Just to be clear I don't have any W514 Jacksons for sale (appreciate the plug anyway :)) I have the National Game card.....fairly low grade for the series but still nice....I think in a 30 holder.

Whoops. For some reason I thought the National Game cards where W514. A prorated advertising fee will be billed shortly.
