O/T - Bone Marrow Transplant

Liz entered WestChester Medical Center for a bone marrow transplant which is the final step on her recovery from leukimia. The prognosis is favorable since a Match 10 of 10 donor was found.

All I ask is for your prayers that Liz's body accepts the donor marrow cells.

I wish you all of the best and this has reminded me to see if I'm a match for any future morrow donations. I'm not sure of the process, but after your post, I will be doing it as soon as possible.

Terrific news that a match was found!

Two years ago our friends had a marrow drive for their young son but not one match. However, it was a huge turn out and a ton more names were added to the registry.

I encourage everyone to jump at the chance, if there is a local drive your way. It's fast, painless and a wonderful event. We all are eager to step-up if that call ever comes in.

Give it Hell Liz. -and Jerry, keep us posted.

Best of luck to Liz and continue to stay strong Jerry.

We have a friend who underwent a bone marrow transplant and she is going strong today.....the transplant was probably 15-20 years ago.

Stay positive.
