Opinions on a couple of EBay items

Looking for opinions concerning couple of items that ended over the last couple of days on EBay, if legit I thought they went a bit low.

I cannot speak for the Matty Tag (which does look very cool for the $$) but I can say that somebody STOLE that Pirates Whiskey Bottle.

I have seen a few much lesser examples in auctions such as Hunt's with badly torn/molested labels and chips/cracks to the glass. These still command prices of $500 - $800 (in less than VG condition). I do not think it's a stretch to say that this one is the best example extant... bar none!

I have never seen one with a perfect label such as this, and with such a beautiful tone to the glass. It even appears to have the original cork. At the right auction (and with 2 or more people who wanted it) this piece could easily exceed $2,000. A finer example could not exist.... sure wish I didn't miss it!

I thought these also went a bit low.

I've seen the tag once before and I am not so sure those are legit...that bottle (if real, I have no clue) is a steal at $400. Like Mark, I have never seen one that nice either. The gum pins went pretty darn cheap too...I wonder if Rhett got those?

My first reaction the bottle is that it looks fake. The label looks to perfect around the edge considering the soiling, fading, and scuffs. It isn't a sharp image and looks fuzzy.

Here are two other examples. Look how bold and rich the labels are. I could be wrong, but it doesn't look right to me.

I noticed the labels are slightly different from each other in the two Hunt auction examples. The address is also different by one number on the ebay example.

I'm not sure if the address is different. looks to be 968 in all examples. However, the eBay one looks a little weird - especially the embossed 2 fl oz embossed glass.

Matty Tag

The Matty tag is real. I was there when they were found (a walk in at a Lelands buy show in Pennsylvania) and there were only like a handful that turned up. The guy thought that they were beer coaster as that was what he collected. I think that one was in a Lelands auction and I sold a few on ebay several years ago. They sold in the $100-300 range.

Is there any way to verify authenticity of the item on eBay of all places?

It's the same one. The buyer of the Matty tag is reselling it using the same pictures. Sounded fishy, so I checked the original seller's feedback and saw that he left feedback for the current seller.
