Beating a dead horse. PSA grading.

Backs are equal in disparity.

From the poor quality of the scans you can't tell but I would guess that the PSA 1 has creasing in it whereas the PSA 2 does not.

I have never seen an issue that PSA screws up more the cracker jacks. I swear they have a dead guy grading them. I just pulled a PSA 1 and sent it to SGC it got a 30. I knew the 1 grade was off. I have found they over grade or undergrade CJ a great deal. As such I would never buy a PSA or especially a GAI graded CJ unless I saw very good pictures.
That all being said I would agree that because of the bad scans it is hard to judge. Cracker Jacks do tend to hide creasing well if it doesn't break color. Many times a crease will only show on the back. James G |
I'll grant the scans are bad and the one graded Poor has upper left and right creases. The semicircular mark on the left of the card in Good shape along with the heavily rounded corners, the crease running through the knee on the right of the card and the rub marks around the leg on the right of the card more than offset the creasing of the Poor card.

the right is a 3, the left is a 2mk

I would guess that if you busted the card on the right out of its holder, you may find that a crease (perhaps the one at the top left?) goes all the way through and is actually a tear. Just a guess, cuz in general a card doesn't get a "Poor" grade because of a crease or two unless it goes all the way through the card and is actually a tear but difficult to see cuz its held together in the case.
Just a guess Rob :o) |
The PSA 1 copy may have a pinhole in it that isn't visible in this fuzzy scan.
