eBay: It wasn’t the T-206 Wagner strip, but still pretty cool…

Just concluded eBay auction for a W515 strip-of-five as one of the gifts packed into an unopened 1920s Christmas stocking. Most of the cards (Ruth!) are rough, but seeing these ditties in their “natural habitat” is a rare treat indeed.

Wow - that's is a cool piece.

Very cool piece, the question is do you open it or not?

Not a bad price to boot!

It looks like there is some typing on the top of the strip cards, on the Ruth it looks like it says "The Little....". Is that usually on the top of this issue?

Words at Top are.........
The Little Wonder Picture Series.....they are the Type 2s....little larger than type 1s

A few years ago I also picked up a strip that the seller said was found in an old Kids Christmas Stocking with candy, small toys, etc.
I never got to see it (the stocking) so its cool to actually see one unopened. I dont have a scan anymore, but my records say it was a 5 cards strip #11-#15) with the same "Little Wonder Picture Series" on top (W515-2). Very cool |

I thought the fish mold thing was a rock, man now that would be a great present. Here's a rock son, i think it would have been the oldest pet rock out there.
