Best Damn Auction House Period!

I was extremely impressed by REA this year with there usual large verity of materiel, everything from complete sets, graded/raw cards and memorabilia.

The one thing that really stood out was there written descriptions, which were very straight forward and to the point. Promotion of there company was key receiving a note worthy catalog is vital. Customer service was also good I had no problem receiving scans or cards that weren’t presented in the listing (backs of cards).

Unfortunately I didn’t win any lots but from what I’ve read there wasn’t any major delays or shipping problems. This is a big plus too me when considering registering to an auction.

It’s too bad REA only has one auction a year considering there good reputation and over all performance, having 2 or more auctions a year would only further satisfy there customer base. It only makes scents to consider an alternative auction house. Goodwin & Co comes to mind (IMO)!

I’m currently looking to consign to a reputable auction house. So are there any other auctions worthy of good feedback?

I believe that REA is going to expand to 2 auctions a year, not sure if it is going to be this year or not but you may want to call and ask.

Screw you guys. As soon as I get my Tip Top Wagner and Boston Garter Chase from Mast--woops, Legendary--they're my new favorite auction house.

I gotta tell you Jeff, that Tip Top Wagner is about as good as it gets!

One of the things that makes it so good is that it's a Tip Top Wagner that actually will be paid for by the winning bidder.

Sooner or later somebody has to actually buy it. This time around it was later.;)

calvindog 05-13-2009 12:36 PM

Believe me I'll be the first to report if they don't...

Mast ... I mean Legendary, has taken heat for its slowness in shipping items, but in the most recent auction I mailed a personal check on Friday, May 1 and received my cards Thursday, May 7.

calvindog 05-13-2009 01:08 PM

I mailed my check out May 5...I'll let you know when the box arrives, presumably with some special tape on it. Without the tape...it just won't be the same, right?

Rob D. 05-13-2009 01:10 PM

Bad news: generic tape.

At least it was on mine.

Edited to wonder: Will we ever see a large lot of unopened boxes of unused "Mastro Auctions" tape up for auction? I'd have to bid to win.

I received my Legends winnings before my check cleared. Super fast shipping and well packaged

I paid legendary with a certified bank check on the 4th and they shipped overnight on the 5th so I could have it on the 6th as I requested from Doug Allen. I was very pleased with their service.

At last they arrived....
