Old Mill T206 Cobb Questions
First off can anyone tell me how an Old Mill (PSA 5) T206 Cobb red port. sells on 19th century back in Jan 2009 for $1900 and the same card sells or $6K in REA's latest auction? Is there a rarity here or is it the fact that you're better off sending your consignments to REA or top dollar? Also, has anyone ever seen an OLD MILL T206 Cobb with Bat on Shoulder? Both PSA and SGC have zero listed. Thanks, MikeS

I recently submitted an Old Mill Sam Crawford to SGC and it also shows as the only one graded, but I'm sure there have been others. |
the T206 set that just sold in REA that was #7 on the registry has a PSA 5 bat off Old Mill in it.

i know it still has a chance of being graded already....but i can't find any examples from auctions from 5yrs back on this bat on shoulder example from texts and google. Interesting....Thanks

T206 Cobb's with OLD MILL back
MIKE S....you asked......
"Also, has anyone ever seen an OLD MILL T206 Cobb with Bat on Shoulder? Both PSA and SGC have zero listed." I've not seen the Cobb (bat on shoulder) with an OLD MILL back. Two large T206 surveys do not indicate the existence of this F/B combo. TED Z |
my mistake -that was bat off not bat on

Just pulled one from a scrapbook...therefore I know now that one does exist. Thanks, MikeS

I believe you are incorrect about SGC. I sent T206 cards to them very early (back when the flips had a scroll image on them with "SG" in it) and all those cards were labelled by the brand on back. I think you are right about PSA only recently labelling and tracking that way - they used to just say T206. Cheers, Blair |

...For instance, here is my T206 Speaker, which was an early SGC grade - labelled as Piedmont...
