Abbott Paige "Jack" Mills

Posted By: Matt
I'm hoping someone out there can help me out, as I've just about reached the end of my research with no success. I am trying to locate a card of Jack Mills, who played for the Naps in 1911. Here is what I have dug up:

Sporting Life July 1, 1911
"The first indication of what the fans of Cleveland are to look forward to came in the announcement that A NEW THIRD BASEMAN had been landed by the Naps, Abbot P. Mills of the Williams College team. Of course, it does not necessarily follow that Mills will show sufficient class to beat Turner out of his job, but it does mean that Mills will be given every chance to show his ability at the three-quarter station."

March 16, 1912
"Roger Mills, former Williams College infielder, now attending Harvard, will join Toledo June 25."

August 17, 1912
"Manager Hartsel of Toledo, is trying out Abbott Mills, the collegian, on first base."

August 24, 1912:
"The New Orleans Club has secured outflelder Abbott Mills from the Toledo Club, of the American Association."

June 28, 1913
"Abbott Mills, the third baseman, who has been sold to the Waterbury Club by New Orleans of the Southern League, is a Pittsfield boy. He was a member of the Williams College team for four years and captained the team during his last year. The Cleveland Americans signed Mills at the end of his college course and latar sent him to Toledo, in the
American Association, from where he went to New Orleans. Mills is now attending Harvard University and will probably join Waterbury about June 29."

Also, this link from Williams College:
http://archives.williams.edu/manuscriptguides/mills/bio.php

From what I can tell, his baseball career was:
1908-1911 Williams College
1911 Cleveland Naps
1912 Toledo Mud Hens
1912 New Orleans Pelicans
1913 Waterbury Contenders (although I don't know if he actually showed up to play with them)

At this point, I'd even settle for a modern card, if anyone knows of one.
Thanks!

I tried looking for a card of Jack Martin who played briefly for 3 teams from 1912-1914 and I couldn't find any card but I did find a nice page from a Reach guide on ebay with a great in action shot of him, bigger than most card pictures would be. I then bought a signed 3x5 index card and made a mini-display.
