PSA reholdering Posted By: Bob
Recently I sent PSA a Fred Clarke for evaluation and encapsulation. They returned ...

The PSA fee for reholdering is $5. More ineptitude and they'll make a fortune. Sort of like GM or Chrysler.

Does anyone have any experience in asking that this error be corrected gratis?

Bob |

PSA reholdering Posted By: Anonymous
They'll reholder it for you for free and pay for return shipping, but you're on the hook for shipping costs to send it to them. |

PSA reholdering Posted By: Rick McQuillan
C'mon Bob, don't be so picky. Fred Clarke - Clark Griffith - that should be close enough!

Rick |

PSA reholdering Posted By: Jeff Lichtman
They make you pay for shipping to them so that they can correct their own mistake? Class act. |

PSA reholdering Posted By: Bob Manning
Gents;

Thanks. At least they didn't think it was Clark Kent, or Winston Churchill, or Barbra Streisand. Heavy patrolling of the area that day.

Bob |

PSA reholdering Posted By: JimB
My guess is they will give you a voucher to make up for the cost of shipping to them if you ask for it.
JimB |

PSA reholdering Posted By: Jeff Lichtman
Jim, what could possibly be the rationale to offer a voucher instead of covering the cost of return shipping which they caused? Shouldn't they cover the shipping and throw in the voucher for loss of time spent on this? |

PSA reholdering Posted By: D. C. Markel
Yes as said, they will correct it for fee and send it back for free. I've never pressed them about paying for shipping to PSA since I would mail it with a large submission of raw cards thus making the cost negligable. They also will do it free when they do onsight grading. |

PSA reholdering Posted By: Doug
I had a similar issue once and they reholdered the card and shipped it back for free, but I still had to pay to ship it to them. |

PSA reholdering Posted By: Steve Dawson
That's not the first time they've done that. I had this Fred Clarke batting pose that was labeled as a Clark Griffith.

I sent it back to them along with a regular submission (and the pictured T205 Frank Baker that was labeled as a T206), and they reholdered both for free. That way, it didn't cost me anything.

Steve |

PSA reholdering Posted By: Matt
At least PSA replaced one HOF with another.
|
