Some people say that a minor-league card counts. Others say it must picture the player as a major-leaguer.<br><br>Some collectors want only a card that was issued on a national level; others say that regional issues are OK. Even the definition of what constitutes a &quot;card&quot; can be heated. Does a 6x8-inch photo from a team-issued picture pack qualify? I think many would say no, but some like to consider those &quot;cards.&quot;<br><br>Finally, in the case of a few players, their first cards are so rare (possibly only one known) that a collector could not realistically expect to acquire them for his or her HOF collection. So then a Plan B must be formulated.<br><br>So though a list will be helpful, in many cases you'll need to make the call on a particular Hall of Famer.<br><br>Good luck!

Posted By: <b>barrysloate</b><p>Since this is a debate that will never result in a resolution, I say that each collector should decide which card of a player he would like to have. If you prefer a 1949 Bowman Jackie Robinson over its Leaf counterpart, then go with that one. In the end, go for the card you would most want to own.
