Anyone know how to add an Avatar?

You can upload one (or link to one) through your "User CP". It's fairly straightforward.

edited to add: obviously I was wrong! Hmmmm....

I've uploaded a "profile" pic but that doesn't appear to show as an avatar.

User CP ->Edit Avatar

should be the 6th option from the top on the left side.

Me too and mine neither.

I do not have "edit avatar" as an option in my User CP -- and it is not the 6th option either.

Nope. No "Edit Avatar" option.

OK - thanks for that feedback - I'll see what happened - it must have gotten disabled somehow.

It gives me an "edit avatar" box but won't let me uncheck "don't use avatar":

Cool.........normal HTML tags work for centering, etc just like Net54...............
And........better for me since Photobucket is for some odd reason blocked from our firewall here..........

OK - it is actually enabled and working. In order to post a quick reply, you need to click the bottom right button on the post you are replying to (it looks like a quill and paper). This way the system knows what post you are replying to.

In fact, if you read the instructions in the greyed out quick reply area, it says exactly that. I missed it too :)

Even though it shows a thumbnail, clicking the thumbnail will display the full image; it was done this way to lessen server load.
