Anyone have info on 1927 Churchman wrong back
Posted By: Larry W
I have been preparing a large group of cards for grading submission and while doing this I noticed a 1927 Churchmans famous Golfer #15 Robert Harris on the back, but J. Hutchison on the front. I was wondering how common this type of error is/was back then? Any info on this would be appreciated. Sure wish this golf forum had a better following.
Posted By: Mike D.
Larry, I've owned several hundred of these cards, 300 - 400 plus, and I never saw the error you described. Been collecting and following golf cards for 7 years and never heard this before on this particular set. I'd say very unique. Great find.

Anyone have info on 1927 Churchman wrong back
Posted By: Larry W
I sent it along with about 200 other cards to PSA for grading. I will post scans upon receipt. I hope its authentic, but I would have thought that if it weren't auth. that it would have been a Jones or Hagen. It certainly appears to be the real thing. I just got a 1901 Ogden's GG Vardon I base PSA 8 back from the graders, my first one was a PSA 8 C base. Also got a PSA 7 BAT Jones, a PSA 7 Hilton C base, and a PSA 6.5 1928 Tom Morris large, my first one of these was a PSA 8. I'm really "hooked" on these little beauties. Thanks for all the responses.
