1969-70 Topps Ruler For Sale - Lew Alcindor
Posted By: MATTX
I am glad you posted this because I have a ruler set and the alcindor looks like it is cut uneven. These were mine since I was a kid, I see yours looks similar, were these possibly cut by hand by a paper cutter or some other means?

Posted By: jim
I think that the paper cutting process was not always 100% alligned. If the paper was a little off, it would be cut to give a diamond cut and when unfolded, would look like a strange hand cut job. You see this more aggregious cutting in T202 cards sometimes. A full set must look pretty with the bright colors they used.

Posted By: mattx
Thanks for the explanation, it fits. as long as we are on the topic I have seen tons of 60 fleer baseball all time great cards with extremely unusual cuts. Are you familiar with that cutting process. It really is bizarre.

Newbie! Hope this is ok?
Do you have any of the "Rulers" left? Thanks |
I would also be interested in a nice condition common for my type collection if any are left-thanks!
