Posted By: D. Bergin
I'm not sure about the signature but the inscription is something I can imagine Louis writing. He was taught by his handlers to always be humble because of the aftermath of the Jack Johnson reign at Heavyweight.

Posted By: Anthony N.
David- that was me, when we were chatting at the National. Thanks for posting it, it looks great and Dave B.'s comment about humility adds a lot to it.
Thanks for posting, how are you going to display it?

Posted By: DMcD
Anthony: Glad my memory still works. I've had the picture for over a year but haven't gotten around to framing it or displaying it. I have a heavy bag on a weight rack in my garage where I hang my karate gi and belts; I think the photo would be right at home there.

To a good fighter from a lucky one
Posted By: Anthony N.
LOL, nothing personal Alan. I was asked to shoot the award grip and grin shots, and had planned on shooting a bit more while everyone was mingling. But instead of the buffet like they had 4 years ago it was a sit down, and the prospect of shots of people smiling with food in their mouth didn't seem to appealing.
