Help in Pin identification
Posted By: John Wondowski
I picked these two boxing pins up from Lew Lipset in a big group and need help with identification and relative value. The Robinson looks like an PM10, but I cannot confirm. The fitzsimmons is 7/8" in diameter and has a lapel type mushroom stem on the reverse with the engraving: "Whitehead & Hoag Co - Newark, NJ Pat. App'd for"

Thanks!

John

Help in Pin identification
Posted By: 1880nonsports
the Fitzsimmons piece is in the 75. to 125. range. It appears to be from the very large series similar in design to the Pepsin Gum series of 1900 although I have seen more than one variant. The lapel style of pinback is less frequently encountered. Other pin too modern for me
