1960 Fleer--The First Fleer Set
Posted By: JimCrandell
This is one of my favorite sets. It features not only the rookie card of Jack Kemp but also the rookie cards of Ron Mix, Hank Stram, Billy Cannon, Paul Lowe and Abner Haynes.

There are two genuine condition rarities--Chris Burford and Jim Woodard--both are pop 2 in psa 8 with 1 higher. The difference is that there are no 7s of Woodard while there are I believe 10 of Burford.

I rank 3rd on the PSA set registry behind NearMint Cards(who has an absolutely incredible set) and Doug Rivard. NearMint cards has the 9 in each and I am waiting for him to find me an 8 of Woodard--the only one I need to finish the set in 8 or better. Here is the toughest "8" in the set.

Posted By: JimCrandell
Alan,

The population report would suggest no but there is high demand for the Mix rookie and it does not go cheap.

PaulS,

In the 60 Fleer set, the Stram RC is a coach card.

1960 Fleer--The First Fleer Set
Posted By: Andy T
Hi,
I recently just completed the set raw. It took me roughly about 1 year. Finding cards that had at least white border all around was the toughest part as centering is brutal. Since completing the set I have started to upgrade my cards starting with any cards that have creases (one or two).
I have also started to work on a graded set to psa 7. I have Kemp, Baugh, Mix, Cannon, Stram, Blanda, & Mcguire (sp?) already. I am always looking to trade my doubles for any upgrade I may need, if anyone is interested.

Andy
