OPC vs Topps

Posted By: Bob C 2
I started collecting Topps cards as a kid in the '70s. In 1977 I bought an O-Pee-Chee set, partly because I was interested in the first year expansion Blue Jays and partly because many of the cards used different player photos than those used in the Topps equivalent.

Different guides make references to these differences between Topps & OPC throughout the '70s & '80s.

In the latest Goodwin auction catalog a 1971 OPC set is offered (lot #640) and the description notes that 14 cards use different player photos. Does anybody know which cards are different from their Topps counterparts and what the differences are?

If anyone's interested in a comparison of the '77 set I can pull out my sets and post a list.

Bob C

(I hope I'm thinking of the right player.)

I sold a complete set last year (all stars graded), what was the hammer on the one in Goodwin?

"Take your life in your own hands and what happens?
