Autographed Photo of Conrado "Connie" Marrero
Posted By: <b>Kit</b><p>Conrado "Connie" Marrero is the 4th oldest living major leaguer and last surviving major leaguer in Cuba. He pitched with the Washington Senators from 1950-1954 and was Cuba's top amateur pitcher from 1938-1945. He also played for the legendary Havana Sugar Kings.<br><br>Marrero has signed two types of 8 X 10 photos. One is on a print of his 1952 Topps card and the other on a reproduction of a Spanish language endorsement for Gillette razor blades that appeared in a Cuban Winter League program in the early 1950s.<br><br>Marrero's is a tough signature as he has lived in Cuba since 1955. He lost his sight 18 months ago and has difficulty signing. <br><br>All proceeds of this sale go to Marrero, who does not receive a major league pension.
