Posted By: <b>Jim Clarke</b><p>Wish you would start out at much lower price to make it more like an "auction" as you stated.. Then you could let the ebay market set the price. Starting with a high reserve or retail price is not really an auction in my mind...

Posted By: <b>leon</b><p>I know you don't sell much on ebay (cards or maybe reserves) but reserves cost a lot of money relative to high opening bids. This card is worth more than 14k so my guess is it will sell. To me it's an auction....It might not get a bid until the last seconds but I will bet it sells....I wish I had 14k right now...

I guess he doesn't like the downside....and I have to state that this is a very important card with true scarcity (this isn't a T206 Cobb or a 1952 Topps Mantle). I would have to think that starting this card at a real inexpensive level- would cheapen the significance of the card. When dealing with consignors they often like to give us a bottom number (i.e. I don't want to sell this for less than $500). ON really great items I have to say o.k.- and I don't like to bid in reserve auctions- so I'm sure many of you don't like to either....<br /><br />Kevin Savage<br />"Work 8 hours- sleep 8 hours- just make sure they aren't the same 8 hours"<br />
