Posted By: RobertOk here's deal, I am going to hold a contest. I was inspired by the paperclip to house trade sequence, and have decided to try the same thing but with cards. In a nutshell it goes like this: I'll have 2 cards and they'll both be up for trade separately. It is then up to you to make offers 10% in my favor and trade for the cards. after 1 year, the lesser valued card will be given away to one lucky user who participated in a trade with me during this process. The more trades I make, the higher the value of the card I will be giving away will be. Depending on how well this does, the card I give away could be anything from a Nolan Ryan rookie to a 1934 Goudey Lou Gehrig, to a 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle, and even to a Ted Williams rookie. It all depends on how much you want to participate. So please help me out, in doing so, you'll be helping yourselves too. The 2 cards I am starting with are a 1974 Topps Billy Williams (in G-VG worth 25 cents) and a 1954 Topps Sherm Lollar (in VG worth about $4 (I am guessing on that because I my price guide doesn't list VG prices) I'm starting small in hopes of getting a good solid foundation on which I will build to get the higher end cards.Below are scans of the cards so you can see for yourself what you'd be trading for. It would be too confusing having 4 cards to deal with so I'm making it so there are only 2 cards I have to deal with. Hope you don't mind.
