Posted By: Bob Bannon
I don't get it. I am told this set was printed for the years 1948 and 1949. There are those that call them 48 Leaf and there are those that call them 49 Leaf. What is the definative answer?

BB

48-49 Leaf wanted
Posted By: Peter Thomas
Bob, Ted and I are old enough to know for sure that it was early spring 1949. I was 7 years old in the second grade with Miss Phelan and there were some issues about the cards. In my case thanks to my mother I still have the cards. I might have some that you need.

Posted By: Steve Murray
Copyright 1949. Are there some that have a 1948 copyright? If not why the confusion.

48-49 Leaf wanted
Posted By: Tim
I was just trying to funny with my origianl post as Ted Z has written an article for Old Cardboard on these cards and says the cards were printed only in 1949. I hope he doesn't mind me reposting his words as the following is from a post in a thread from the Post War side of the board.

"Incidently people, this set is NOT a "1948-49 issue"............
all 98 cards (and the additional variations) in this LEAF set were issued in 1949.....period.
The stupid Grading Co. have mis-labelled everyone these cards.
If you read my article, you will find very strong proof of this fact. And, I guarantee you that you will be convinced.....never more having to say these cards are a "1948" issue.

TED Z"

Hope this clears up my funny gone wrong.
