1923-24 Billiken Andy Cooper - HOF nominee
Posted By: <b>Matt Goebel</b><p>This is an extremely rare card of Negro League star southpaw and manager Andy Cooper who was a mainstay for the Detroit Stars and Kansas City Monarchs for over 20 years. The card is in nice EX condition (very high grade for the issue)with respect to the following - it is cut narrow (NOT trimmed)and resultingly is badly off-center left to right, and it has some faint spotting on the surface from age/climate. I'm not sure that any example of this card has ever been offered for public sale.<br /><br />If he gets elected to the HOF then this card will be worth several times my asking price, and if not then you still have a rare and desireable card of a very fine Negro League pitcher. $1500 ppd.<br /><br /><img src="http://www.network54.com/Realm/tmp/1132695794.JPG">
