Question about payments/delivery of product.

So, I'll start here and if there aren't any replies, I'll pick another subforum, and so on.<br /><br />Actually I've got 2 questions.<br /><br />1) What, if any, is the standard method of settlement for purchases/sales on the B/S/T forum.<br /><br />Is it like eBay, where funds are sent first, then the product follows, or is it a matter decided between the people involed in the transaction?<br /><br />2) With eBay fees, why would a seller use eBay rather than this board to sell an item?<br /><br />If this seems like a dumb question, it probably is. <img src="/images/wink.gif" height=14 width=14><br /><br />Thanks.<br /><br />Bob S

Posted By: <b>Greg Ecklund</b><p>My thoughts:<br /><br />1 - Typically, sellers will wait until funds are received before they send cards, just as it is on EBay. I have had sellers send cards before they receive payment if they have dealt with me before, and I have done the same a few times with those that I have already dealt with successfully.<br /><br />2 - The number one reason people would likely give is that EBay has a much larger potential audience. Personally, I almost always try to sell things here first - not only to avoid EBay fees, but also so I know that whatever I'm selling will find a good home in the collection of a board member.
