Who leaves that much inventory in the case overnight?

Everyone I've done business with locks up the expensive stuff overnight.

It's unfortunate that we live in such a time when hobby/card stores are getting vandalized, and broken into. While I defintely agree, they shouldn't have left this much product out in the open, it's a sad sight to see.

Hobby shops need to invest in some of that hurricane glass. I saw a hobby shop in California? (Can't remember exactly where) had this glass and two thieves spent 4 minutes trying to break in. And eventually gave up. They were using sledgehammers by the way so it's no chump glass.

+1 agree and hopefully they have the right insurance to cover it and then hopefully they invest in some preventative measures to minimize the potential for a repeat including the special glass and including getting a green safe to put it in overnight

Yikes! I'm sorry that happened to those shops. It's a scary time out there. We have rashes of catalytic converter theft, copper pipe theft, gas syphoning, vehicle break-ins, etc. Anything that locks is locked and anything that isn't I figure how to.

sadly yes and I even saw in the news several fires set at big box retailers so that causes a distraction for thieves to rip those places off

I'm surprised it doesn't happen more often. Card shops are like jewelry stores these days. I'm surprised some don't have armed guards at the door.

I'm just curious. If you put (OT - off topic) at the beginning of a thread in the Off-Topic section does that mean it's actually On-Topic? :D

What's in that 2008 triple Threads box? I'm looking at the checklist and trying to figure out what makes it special.

I cannot comprehend someone causing millions of dollars of damage, permanently closing an otherwise successful WalMart that I have gone to several times, and putting hundreds of people out of jobs just to steal a few thousands of dollars worth of merchandise that will be worth much less than that after fencing it.

They either mistook 2008, for 2009 for Mike Trout or they were going for one of the 1 of 1 cuts, are my only two explanations.

People are extremely desperate. The area that I live in has reached over 20% poverty on average with some neighborhoods reaching over 40%. It keeps getting worse and I'm hoping to move soon, just not sure where yet.
