It not only helps with identifying forgeries, but it gives advanced collectors a better understanding of photography, printmaking, cabinets, and how to identify 19th century rarities that one might find on ebay or in an antique store, but not feel comfortable purchasing because of lack of knowledge.<br /><br />It was written by board contributor David Rudd.<br />Pick it up.<br />Robert<br />

Being a beginner with pre-war cards this book is very informative in how to spot a fake with a blacklight and microscope. The book covers cards such as printing and photograph recognizing for N172, T206, and CJ's just to name a few. If you are a beginner like I am this is one of the first books you need to start a collection. With all the information that the book covers the book is very cheap.
