Good luck in the auction, Scott and team. It's a diverse offering with some nice cards....

Thanks Leon. While there's not some of the monster cards we've had in past auctions the variety is by far our best. While there's a selection of T206's, T205's, Goudey's and Play Ball Cards, there are some amazing esoteric, unusual and even rare items to check out.
Incredible 3' Wide Panoramic Postcard of Opening Season at League Park in Cleveland https://thecollectorconnection.com/i...10_1_63071.jpg Amazing colorized 1910 Post Card from the initial season of what appears to be game action at Cleveland's League Park. Most likely Nap Lajoie is pictured somewhere. Cy Young is also a possibility. If it is indeed opening day then they are playing Ty Cobb's Detroit Tigers. A piece of the game's history that just doesn't pop up very often. Numerous other unique items such as this complete newspaper page with Rinkeydink Stamp Walter Johnson in the upper right corner! https://thecollectorconnection.com/i...71_1_62406.jpg While the stamps pop up periodically (PSA has graded a total of 40 from the set) this is the only full page we can find. A chance to own a possibly unique item! We've had some amazing Rose Co. Postcards recently, and while there's only one in this auction, what a one! https://thecollectorconnection.com/i...91_1_62970.jpg https://thecollectorconnection.com/i...91_2_62971.jpg There are a decent number of Greenfield's Chocolates backs, which are indeed rarer than the plain postcard backs. Rarer still are the Jacob Shirk "Calling Card" backs. They appear to be used by sales representatives of the Jacob Shirk company. Dozens of early 20th century player autographs including a number of T206 players like this George Gibson. All certified by CAS. https://thecollectorconnection.com/i...66_1_62484.jpg Amazing Sporting Life Card Envelope Series 1. https://thecollectorconnection.com/i...80_1_61869.jpg Again a tough enough item in general, but unlike all other Series 1 envelopes we could find (a small number to begin with) this is the only example we found that has the players' first and last names. Some cool pennants including this 1913 UNC Cravats Tris Speaker https://thecollectorconnection.com/i...76_1_62903.jpg And a nice selection of the tough 1914 Piedmont Art Stamps including a couple HOF'ers like this Bobby Wallace. https://thecollectorconnection.com/i...76_1_62092.jpg Here's a list of quick links to help you get to what you want. Tobacco Cards Caramel Cards Strip Cards Goudey Cards Diamond Stars Play Ball Postcards Boxing Cards Photography So drop by the only dedicated Pre War Auction in the hobby, and check it out today! |
Heading into the final weekend. If you like to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars this isn't the auction for you. If you like to see a lot of unusual stuff that doesn't pop up every day, don't miss out!

One of the crazier current low bids. T207 Anonymous Buck Herzog in SGC 3 at only $58. Dig around for those bargains before it's too late!

Managed to pick up a couple T206 for my Monster run!
Thanks! |
I grabbed the Rose just so I can be in the club of owning one. I loved it was Pennsylvania based, sent from Lancaster to someone from Schuylkill County Pa.
|
I was very happy to win the T205 Fisher to complete my T205 set except for the tough Hoblitzell, Mathewson and Wilhelm variations.

Great photos
Picked up a few vintage baseball photographs. Some great 19th century baseball photos in the auction! Haven’t seen an offering of 19th century like this in a while, from any auction houses even the bigger companies.
Great auction Scott! |
Thumbs up
Picked up a handful. Nice selection. Invoice received and paid this morning.

I won quite a few more items than I expected and consequently spent quite a bit more than I expected, but was super happy with everything I won. Great auction!

Great auction
Great auction! It had many interesting prewar cards. I'm pleased to have won 2 lots.
