T206 Evers hot??

Granted it's an Old Mill back, but at pop 29 seems like a crazy price???

Third highest bidder only at $660. Either a "gotta have it now" or a shill bidding extravaganza to raise the market price in sold listings.

2-3 guys with low feedback bidding it up. Smells rotten. Watch the PSA # pop up in another auction soon. Also, consider the source of the auction.

With that card being perfectly centered and having nice large borders, I wouldn't be surprised if it gets trimmed and reholdered. They just need to squeeze a PSA 5.5 out of it to be a Top Graded Pop card. At that point, prices can get really crazy and out of hand. Otherwise this card front/back combo has 11 cards at PSA that are at the same grade or higher. Two months ago, the same seller sold a PSA 5 of this card for nearly 25 percent of the price this one sold for. I'd say nobody needed this card that bad and I don't see how manipulating the market price is going to do any good, especially when there's plenty of sales recorded. And if all of that wasn't odd enough, the two bidders that battled it out had zero bid retractions. So who knows. Maybe the T206's are in the beginning stages of another price hike.

Something is indeed odd bc look at this PSA 4, Evers Yellow Sky OM, sold the day before by same “seller”.
