Rare Game Used Signed Baseball from HOF'er Bob Gibson - Cy Young Award winner in 1970

Pitched by Gibson during his 23rd victory of the season. This was his highest win total of his career!

Ball was signed in person by Bob at a Fanatics Sports Convention in Chicago with an inscription. The pen's ink didn't land as smoothly on the vintage ball as I would have liked. Nonetheless, this is a rare ball that was pitched by Bob during his milestone victory.

Ball was inscribed by fan's that caught the ball during the game on September 23, 1970 vs. Cubs. The ball has several notes such as "Pitched by Bob Gibson, to Met Catcher" as well as the attendance and explaining the double header from that day. NOTE: Cardinals played Cubs and not Mets so this appears to be an error written by the fan. However, the attendance is 100% accurate as well as the fact that there was a doubleheader that day.

No authentication beyond the Sports Convention ticket but will garuntee 100% money back if the signature is not authentic by PSA/JSA. I was there watching Bob sign this ball as he chuckled when being told it was a ball he pitched back in 1970.
