Arthur Irwin and Draper Maynard

There was a post a year or two ago about Irwin and his glove. Someone added pictures of the glove from front of a 1884 catalog and also pictures of his glove from a display cabinet at the Draper Maynard Museum building. The pictures have since been removed and I would appreciate if someone could post them here or email me at mtinney@sbcglobal.net. I am doing some research on Irwin and have found a few interesting items but would like more info. I'll supply a link to my finished article when I am done. thanks

Hey Mike,

Hope you find them. Can't wait to read it. This is the only picture I have from 1890.

Mike, The envelope that Jim posted is part of my collection. I thought you might like to see the other side. Good Luck with your article. Mike Ellis

thanks for both pics. I have seen the picture side of the postcard from JD's website and I was curious about the other side. The 1890 post office cancellation from Ashland is indeed pretty cool. I wrote to the owner of the property near Ashland, NH. where the first D&M factory was built. I asked him to take some pictures of the ruins.

Here are some items that I have from D&M. The envelope is postmarked 1884.

To have the photo and 1884 envelope as first evidence of the Draper & Maynard partnership as the J.F. Draper Co. is really super. Hope you don't mind if I replace the photo of the Ashland factory in my article with yours. the advertising on the roof of the factory is just great!

I found this one photo which I didn't have space to use of an 1889 Pittsfield NH. baseball team. I wondered if the catcher on bottom right was using Draper & Maynard gloves.
