How do you identify 1940 Play Ball reprints?

What are the things I should look for in determining whether a 1940 Play Ball is legit? My wife's building this set in relatively low grade, but the big cards, even in low grade, are ones that I want to be careful about.<br><br>Thanks in advance!<br>
