Another ebay situation

Posted By: Shanon
My user name on ebay is mistercrackerjack and I have been selling for over 6 years with nearly 100% feedback. I sold a 1951 Bowman T.Williams on May 14th graded a 5 by SCD. Price was $154 with shipping. I was then contacted by the buyer that after receiving the card he was not happy with the condition. I agreed to fully refund the card to him and he would ship it back to me. This was on June 14th and I still have no response. I have sent an e-mail to him but no reply. He has 78 feedbacks to my 680. What are my options from here? All transactions were done thru Paypal.

Posted By: dennis
maybe he decided to keep the card? hope you didn't refund yet? if you sent $$ back before receiving the card you probably are out the $$ because this scum probably has disappeared. you can make a claim w/paypal but without cooperation from the buyer i doubt you'll be able to get the $$ back. hope i'm wrong.

Posted By: Jimmy
same problem happen to me once, I had 100% feedback for so long - I have been selling on eBay for almost ten 10 years. I sold some 1950 Bowman cards and the condition was a bit off and yes maybe I should have graded all of them accordingly, but the buyer still was not pleased - I offer full refunds myself even with graded items. I told the buyer to keep the cards and I will send his money back as well, still gave me negative feedback. The Hobby is fun, but in every business you get bad apples. After that I had a plan to have my own website and try to have more products off eBay, because you just never know what will happen. I still like ebay very much, and still have auctions and a store, but sometimes folks get out of hand to try and get the best deal or even free. I do much better with sellers that buy my pre-war items

Take care

Jimmy
eBay ID jbsportsauctions33
Posted By: boxingcardman
Figure out when a paypal refund window expires and wait it out. If he doesn't make a claim by that time, ignore him. He is probably past the chargeback time for any credit card payment, so Paypal may be his last chance.

If you already refunded, consider it a cheap life-lesson: never issue a refund absent the returned item.
